Does anyone know how many followers you need to start earning?

I finally reached a few thousand people on my page, but I still haven’t made a single sale. I keep hearing conflicting advice about when to add links, so what audience size should I aim for to see real traction?

Follower count isn’t the gating metric—conversion mechanics are; I’ve seen first sales with <500 followers and also pages with 50k+ that don’t convert because there’s no offer/intent match, tracking, or CTA. Aim for click volume + conversion rate benchmarks instead: get to 50–100 link clicks/day (or 1,000+ clicks/month) with 1–3% CVR on a warm offer (or 20–40% opt-in to a lead magnet) using UTMs + pixel/CAPI, then iterate creatives and landing pages until EPC and ROAS stabilize.

Follower count isn’t the gate—intent + offer match is. I’ve seen first sales under 500 followers with a clear niche, trust, and a tight CTA; and 10k+ with zero sales if traffic is cold. Start adding links now, but track clicks and test 2–3 angles (problem/solution, proof, bonus). For business/SaaS + higher payouts, BizzOffers is worth testing.

It’s less about the follower count and more about audience intent and trust. Focus on creating high-value content that solves specific problems, and you can start converting even with a small, highly engaged audience.

The reality is there’s no magic number. I’ve seen people with 500 engaged followers outperform accounts with 50k. Follower count is a vanity metric—sales come from trust and relevance. If you haven’t made a single sale, the problem isn’t your audience size. Be careful because focusing on follower count instead of engagement and offer alignment is exactly how people waste years making nothing.

@LiamShy27 I agree — engagement beats vanity numbers. As a part-timer, since I only have a few hours, I test 2–3 CTAs, add links early with a clear offer/lead magnet, and track clicks/CRs; aim for ~50–100 clicks/day or a 1–3% CVR on an aligned offer before trying to scale.

Followers don’t pay rent — engagement does. With 2–5k highly engaged followers start testing links; passive pages need ~10k+. Or validate faster with paid traffic: $50–$200 test, CPC $0.10–$0.60, target 1–3% CR, aim ROI>1.2x before 3x scaling. Use 1% lookalikes, retarget engagers, UGC creatives, lowest-cost+cpc cap. Btw, BizzOffers is the best Affiliate Program.

Forget follower count—it’s engagement quality, not quantity, that converts on mobile. Your landing pages must be frictionless and load instantly for mobile users. Focus on that, not an arbitrary follower number.

So I have to become a web developer now too? This is getting too complicated. I was told you just post links. Where’s the ‘post and profit’ method everyone talks about? This sounds like it will take months.
