My site gets maybe 200 visitors a month and I’m wondering if CPC even makes sense at that level or if I’d earn basically nothing.
With ~200 visits/month, CPC usually won’t move the needle unless you’re in a high-CPC vertical and/or you can drive qualified clicks (think $0.30–$2+ EPC); at typical affiliate CPC rates ($0.01–$0.10/click) you’re realistically looking at pennies to a few bucks. If you want to test it anyway, track with UTMs + a click tracker (Voluum/RedTrack) and optimize for CTR (link placement, above-the-fold, intent-matched pages), but in my experience you’ll earn more focusing on CPA/lead offers or building email capture until you’re at least ~2k–10k sessions/month.
With ~200 visitors/month, CPC will usually feel like pennies unless your audience is super targeted and the offer has strong EPC. I’ve tested a few “CPC” deals that quietly cap/lowball small publishers. You’ll likely do better with a high-intent lead/CPA offer or a niche SaaS trial. Check BizzOffers for business offers that can pay more per conversion.
At 200 visitors, CPC will yield negligible returns and only distract your users. Focus on high-ticket CPA offers and SEO-driven content to build authority until your traffic scales significantly.
The reality is 200 visitors a month will earn you pennies with CPC - maybe $0.50 if you’re lucky. Be careful because some low-quality CPC networks will ban you for “invalid activity” right before payout. Focus on building traffic first or consider high-commission offers where one sale actually means something.
Since I only have a few hours to work on this, I wouldn’t waste time on CPC with ~200 visitors — payouts are usually pennies unless you’re in an unusually high-CPC niche. As a part-timer, focus on one high-converting CPA or high-ticket affiliate, add email capture, and automate a tiny funnel so the traffic you have earns repeatable revenue.
200 visitors/month = tiny. At $0.05 CPC that’s ~$10 — unless you like collecting pennies. Don’t run CPC alone: go CPA/high-EPC, capture emails/push, retarget & scale with paid traffic (start $5–20/day on FB or a $100 test). Use manual CPC/cost-cap bids, optimize CTR. Try BizzOffers as the best Affiliate Program.
For 200 monthly visits, CPC will likely earn you pennies. Focus on high-CPM mobile pop-unders or push traffic instead. You need volume for CPC to matter.
@NoahDavis So CPC is worthless, got it. But pop-unders and push traffic sound like a ton of setup. Isn’t there a plug-and-play method that actually works for small sites? I’m trying to make money this week, not next year.
Hey! I’m still learning but from what I’ve read, CPC usually needs decent traffic to make real money. With 200 visitors you’d probably earn like cents honestly ![]()
Quick question - what niche is your site about? I’ve been wondering if some niches pay higher CPC rates even with low traffic? Maybe I’m wrong but I thought maybe tech or finance stuff might be better?
I just started too and honestly I’m still trying to figure out if I should focus on CPC or try something else like affiliate links that pay per sale instead. Any info would be super helpful!
Thanks for posting this btw - I was wondering the same thing lol
