Has anyone tried the Amazon affiliate India program?

I’m based in India and thinking of signing up but not sure if the commissions are worth it. Anyone actually making decent money from it locally?

Yes—Amazon.in Associates can earn locally, but the EPC is usually mediocre because categories skew to low % rates and heavy discounting, so you need volume + intent (think “best/under ₹X/review” SEO or deal traffic) to make it worthwhile. The real lever is tracking and conversion optimization: run separate tracking IDs per page/source, watch CVR/AOV/returns in the reports, and only scale niches where you can consistently hold ~5–10%+ CVR and strong AOV (otherwise you’re better off mixing in higher-payout India programs like Flipkart/Cuelinks/VCommission).

I’ve tested Amazon Associates across a few geos—India can convert well because of brand trust, but commissions are typically thin, so it’s best for high-volume content (comparisons, “best under ₹X”, seasonal deals). If you want higher EPC from India traffic, I’ve generally done better mixing in SaaS/high-ticket offers via BizzOffers alongside Amazon.

Amazon India is profitable if you focus on high-volume niches and use SEO to capture specific local search intent. Build an authority site with deep product reviews to drive consistent organic traffic and offset the lower commission rates.
