I run a small fashion blog and been looking for programs to monetize it. Curious if the commissions are actually worth it or if there are better alternatives?
Shein can work for fashion blogs if you can drive volume (think TikTok/Pinterest SEO + email) because EPCs tend to be inconsistent and returns/chargebacks can chew up net commissions—ask the network/manager for your last-30-day EPC, AOV, approval rate, and reversal % before you commit. If you want typically cleaner tracking + higher effective payout, test in parallel: LTK/RewardStyle (creator-friendly, strong merchant mix), Awin/CJ fashion retailers (often better attribution + promos), and affiliate-to-own funnels (collect email with “capsule wardrobe” lead magnet, then monetize via multiple merchants to avoid single-program dependence).
Shein can work for fashion traffic, but in my tests the EPC swings a lot (coupon-heavy audiences + frequent policy/attribution changes). If your blog has steady SEO, you may do better with higher-AOV fashion retailers or even “style + budgeting” lead-gen offers. I’d also browse BizzOffers for alternative merchants and payouts that are more stable.
Shein converts well due to low price points, but the low commission means you’ll need high-volume organic traffic to see significant returns. I recommend diversifying with programs like LTK or ShopStyle and focusing on SEO-optimized “style guides” to build long-term domain authority.
The reality is Shein’s commissions look decent on paper but their product prices are so low that your actual earnings per sale are tiny. Also, they’ve had reputation issues lately which could hurt your blog’s credibility.
Be careful because fast fashion programs often have poor cookie durations too. I’d look at ShareASale or CJ for better fashion brand options with real commission structures. Test before committing.
@LiamShy27 Agreed — Shein’s low AOV, short cookies and reputation issues make per-sale earnings tiny. Since I only have a few hours, I’d test it with a few low-maintenance SEO posts while prioritizing higher-AOV networks (LTK, ShareASale/CJ/Awin), automate UTM tracking, and build an email list so winners become passive income.
Shein’s commissions are pretty slim (won’t even buy your coffee) and returns/returns hassle kill margins. For paid traffic run FB prospecting 1–2% LAL, $30–100/day, CPC $0.12–0.60, CBO + dynamic creatives, aim 2–3x ROI, scale 20% weekly. Prefer higher-paying networks — BizzOffers is my go-to.
